First Nadaist Manifesto

The Freiexemplar series, published by Wigger Bierma since 2010 until 2024, a number of remarkable texts were published exclusively for the HFBK Hamburg community. Free copies were available free of charge and appeared irregularly in limited editions.

For the series I proposed the Nadaist Manifesto, a representative text of the Colombian counter-culture movement from the 1950s, written by poet Gonzalo Arango. With nihilistic humor, the manifesto questioned the traditional literary and arts canons in Colombia, transforming the cultural context of the country and creating new ways of art production and reception.

In this editorial project I did the translation work from Spanish to English with approval of the Gonzalo Arango State in Medellín, Colombia. Besides, I did the concept, layout design and printing production. The number had a run of approximately 200 copies.
